Verizon’s Conditional Call Forwarding is the ability to reroute calls based on different criteria. Activating call forwarding is easy by using your phone’s dialer app and your unique forwarding number. So, read the article to get information on this Verizon Conditional Call Forwarding.

No Answer/Busy Transfer:

When you use the Call Forwarding feature of your Verizon landline phone, calls can be forwarded to a mobile device when your line is busy or when there’s no answer. This can help prevent missed calls or forward calls to the right person at your business. You can also use warm transfers to ensure a live agent greets each caller and resolves their issues.

To activate call forwarding, dial *71 and the 10-digit number to which you would like to forward calls. You will then hear a series of confirmation beeps.

To disable call forwarding, lift the handset or, on a rotary phone, dial *90. Enter the number to which you wish your calls to be forwarded and listen for two beeps. You can also deactivate the feature from the My Verizon app. It’s important to note that the calls being forwarded are being sent over a wireless network, so they may be subject to long-distance charges.

Unanswered Calls:

Call forwarding is a great way to handle calls when you can’t answer or are busy. It can also help you to manage calls more efficiently, which is especially important for business or professional use.


To disable Verizon call forwarding for unanswered calls on a landline, dial *73. To do the same on an iPhone or Android phone, go to Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding and toggle off any forwarding options you don’t want.

You can also uncover and check your call forwarding settings using the shortcode ##002#, which is available on GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile. This will let you see any unconditional or conditional forwarding that’s set up on your line.

Unreachable Calls:

When you’re out of reach, unanswered, or on a busy call, calls will automatically forward to another number. That way your family, friends, or co-workers can get the call even if you aren’t available.

This feature, also known as Enhanced Call Forwarding, is included with your Verizon plan at no extra charge. However, airtime charges still apply for the forwarded calls.

You can turn on a phone’s automatic forwarding feature by opening the Phone app and tapping the account image in the upper-right corner. From there, tap Manage and select the Call Forwarding option.

To disable this feature on your iPhone, open the Phone app and tap the three-dot menu button (or tap the settings or call settings icon if using the Google Dialer app) and then Call Settings. From there, choose whether you want to forward calls when unavailable or when your phone is unreachable. Then select the number where you want calls forwarded.

Calls from Select Numbers:

Call forwarding is pretty straightforward and most cell phone carriers have an app to activate and manage this feature. If you’re looking for more advanced options, like forwarding to a specific number only when your phone is busy or out of range, you’ll have to contact your service provider.

For example, with AT&T you can use the USSD code *72 to activate calls from selected numbers forwarded to another number when you’re busy or unresponsive. Then you can disable this by dialing *73 on your device. You can also use the ##21# settings interrogation code to check all forms of forwarding on your account, including voice, data, and text – just make sure you don’t have a number listed that could be the one for your Verizon voicemail box! There are some exceptions to this, though, so be sure you’re clear with your provider. The other option is to transfer your current landline number to Verizon Wireless (if it’s eligible). They’ll handle all the details, so you can just focus on your day job!
