The plan will be available for all prepaid customers across India except Andhra Pradesh / Telangana, Assam, Bihar / Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra / Goa, Odisha, UP East and West, and Sikkim. Users can avail of the free prepaid plan by visiting the official website of Airtel or by using third-party online platforms that accept payments from the telco. Customers will need to enter their mobile number, region, and other details to complete the transaction. The company will then send the coupon code to their registered email address. The promo will expire on January 20, 2020.

The Airtel Rs 49 prepaid recharge plan used to come with Rs 38 worth of talktime and 100MB of data. However, it was discontinued in 2021 as the telco wanted to increase its average revenue per user (ARPU). The lowest prepaid recharge plan from Airtel now costs Rs 79.

Double Data:

Airtel is offering double data for its Rs 79 Smart Recharge plan which is the company’s new entry-level base prepaid recharge plan. The new plan will compete with the entry-level prepaid plans of rivals Reliance Jio and Vodafone-Idea. The plan offers four times more outgoing minutes and doubles the data compared to the old one.

The current base prepaid plan of Airtel is the Rs 49 pack which provides talk time and data to users. It has a tariff validity of 28 days and comes with Rs 64 talk time, 200MB high-speed data, 1 paise per second local and STD calling with 106 minutes outgoing calls. In a bid to help its 55 million low-income subscribers during the COVID-19 pandemic, Airtel has doubled the benefits of its Rs 49 smart recharge plan. The new Rs 79 smart recharge plan will offer up to four times more outgoing minutes and double data for users.

In addition to double the data, the new plan will also come with free Hellotunes and Wynk Music premium as well as mobile antivirus and a free online course at Shaw Academy for three months. Unlike the previous plans, which had their validity tied to that of the base plan, this new plan will have its own validating period of 30 days.

No daily cap:

Airtel is one of the top telecommunication service providers in India. It offers 2G and 3G mobile telephony, broadband, DTH, and enterprise services. The company also provides various avenues for customers to recharge their prepaid accounts. This includes online platforms like Airtel Online Recharge and the official website of the company. Customers can use any of these avenues to recharge their prepaid accounts and enjoy the benefits of unlimited data.

The Rs 19 sachet plan from Airtel has a two-day validity and offers 200MB of high-speed data. This data is free of charge but calls to non-Airtel numbers come with a FUP limit. After exhausting this limit, calls to non-Airtel networks will cost customers 6 paise per minute. The Rs 509 Airtel prepaid recharge plan is another option for users who prioritize voice calling over data. It offers 56GB of data and 300 SMS without a daily usage limit, as well as a complimentary subscription to Hello Tune and Wynk Music.

Airtel has also increased the validity of some of its prepaid plans to 84 days from 28 days. This has resulted in higher pricing for some of the plans. For example, the Rs 598 prepaid recharge plan now costs Rs 150 more than it did previously. However, it does provide 1.5 GB of data on a daily basis and unlimited voice calls. It also comes with free Hello Tunes, Airtel XStream, and a free trial of Amazon Prime Mobile Edition.
