View-once media cannot be forwarded, saved, starred, or shared in the chat where it is sent and expires within 14 days. It is recommended to only use this feature with trusted contacts.
1. Go to Settings:
WhatsApp recently launched a feature called View Once on Android and iOS devices that allows users to send photos or videos that can only be seen once. Once the media is viewed, it will disappear from the recipient’s chat and will not be saved to their device’s photos or gallery. This ephemerality is a useful tool to have if you want to share content with people who don’t necessarily have your best interests at heart.
The feature is similar to Snapchat and Instagram, where users can share media that will disappear after a set period. WhatsApp says that all View Once media is protected by their end-to-end encryption and won’t be viewable by anyone else. They will also be marked with a new “one-time” icon.
However, recipients can take screenshots of this type of media. The instant messaging app doesn’t warn them when they do this and the sender won’t be notified. This can be problematic if the recipient shares offensive or inappropriate content that you can then save and share outside of WhatsApp.
2. Tap on Accounts:
When you send a View Once photo or video on WhatsApp, it will disappear from your recipient’s device after they open it once. However, there are ways to reopen the media file once it’s been viewed. These methods involve using a third-party app, such as GB WhatsApp, or exploiting the software’s security loopholes.
Currently, it’s not possible to have two accounts on the same phone using WhatsApp. To do so, you’ll need a dual-sim smartphone with either two sim slots or support for e-sims. Additionally, you’ll need to have two separate phone numbers.
To set up a second account on your smartphone. Tap the three-dot icon on the top right corner of the WhatsApp app and select Settings. Then tap Add Account and follow the on-screen instructions. You’ll need to enter the other phone number and a unique profile name, and you can choose a profile photo if desired. You’ll also be required to verify your new number with a six-digit code sent to the other phone number. Once verified, your second WhatsApp account will be ready to use.
3. Tap on WhatsApp:
